Description

Elm Grey trunks vary in height from 35-40 m. The log is 10-18 m high with a diameter of 0.9-1.4 m, up to 2.5 m.

Elm Grey is a ring-pored wood type. The growth rings are very distinctive because of the large vessels in the initial wood, and as a result the wood has an attractive flame pattern.

Elm is fairly easy to work with. It is mainly used as solid wood and veneer for furniture and panelling.
