Description

With a height of 30-40m and a diameter of 1.5m, Zebrano is a type of wood with a distinctive striation reminiscent of zebras. It is therefore not a suprise that this wood species is called Zebrawood in English. It is a solid, strong wood species with a moderately coarse to coarse grain. It is a tropical wood species and is therefore well suited for outdoor applications. Zebrano is not easy to come by, though, so it is only available in limited quantities.

Zebrano is used in decorative applications: furniture, carving and sculpture, knobs and handles. It turns well. It is also commercially available as a veneer.
