Description

Logs of beech are about 30m tall with a diameter of 1-1.5m. Branch-free trunks average 9m in length.

Beech has a regular to dense structure. Steamed beech is pink to light red. Steamed wood has advantages such as reduced internal stresses.
The veneer is sliced in crowns, on quarter and on false quarter.

Beech is one of our industry's most widely used and well-known hardwoods. It is colorless and tasteless which means that in contact with nutrients it does not present any problems.

Because the wood bends very well, without butt, it is one of the most suitable woods for curved work, edges and handrails. It is also used for plywood, stair treads, tools (planers, etc.), many household items such as breadboards, spoon racks, brushes, cabinets and bins, toys, furniture, kitchen steps, etc.
